Shaun Alexander belongs to an elite group of four players who have managed to make history in American football. Shaun is one of the players who scored 5 touchdowns. It was during the Seattle Seahawks - Minnesota Vikings match on October 12 in 1997. Shaun is a former American professional footballer who was running back for the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks.

He previously played university football for the Alabama Crimson after which he was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks as the 19th overall in the 2000 Draft. In 2011 he was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. Shaun set numerous NFL records, and in 2005 was named NFL MVP, and also ranked 8th in the NFL History for Rushing Touchdowns. He was also the first athlete at Madden NFL and NCAA Football. Shaun grew up in Florence. His parents divorced when he was 11 years old after which he and Durran were raised by their mother in a two-bedroom apartment near Shenandoah Drive. While a freshman he played football for the junior university team.

In addition to being good at football Shaun has achieved great results in baseball and basketball. At university, he played in a second-string running back position. During the junior season, Shaun had 42 touchdowns and ran for 2,396 yards. During the 1994-1995 senior season, Shaun set a state record of 54 touchdowns. In three university seasons, he rushed for 110 touchdowns and 6,657 yards.
