Liverpool preparing for transfers

Considering the way Liverpool's season ended, losing the Premier League title on the final day and the Champions League finals to Manchester City, meaning that the club will likely search for reinforcements before the next season. Now perennial rivals, Manchester City have already signed Erling Haaland and there is no doubt that they will make further additions.

Now, all the pressure is on Liverpool to respond by adding at least one or two more marquee players but the departure of Sadio Mane and Divock Origi might force the club to include several new faces. Kalvin Philip and Raphina (Leeds) have recently been linked with a move to Liverpool with £60m worth of contract. Both had a pretty bad season at Leeds, suffering injuries.

However, if we look back at the season in 2020/2021, they were in top-flight and the pair would be a perfect fit for Liverpool. Philips is now 26, coming into the prime of his career and he would be a brilliant addition to Liverpool's midfield position. In this area, the club needed to invest in the summer after facing difficulties during the early parts of the season. Liverpool suffered a lot when Fabinho was unavailable so he would be a perfect replacement for the position.
