NBA 2K22 - review

A new tour - a new adventure, fans of basketball and basketball simulations would say. On the cover, we can see Luka Doncic, who deserved this privilege with his performance in the last season.

It was known in advance that this year's sports games would be under a special magnifying glass for players because they were made in parallel for the first time for new generations of consoles. The magnifier did not bypass this most popular basketball simulation in the production of 2K Sports, so the justified question is whether there is a shift in gameplay or is the focus only on graphic improvements?

The answer to this question is: we have no idea because we have not reviewed the game for the new generation of consoles. But we can answer the question of whether the versions for the previous generation of consoles and PCs suffered because of the so-called next-gene?

Every year, the story with NBA 2K is more or less the same, except that this year. Now we have a new City that is within MyCAREER mode, and it is only possible to play it on versions for new generations of consoles.

Luckily for us, in the NBA, along with City, we have standard MyCareer and MyTeam mods. But unfortunately, there is nothing particularly new, except the graphic improvements. So MyCareer boils down to a classic American College film story where we follow the path of a rising star, and later strive to progress and breakthrough to the top.

MyTeam mode is something else. It was interesting for the first five games because you get a Kobe Bryant card, and then when your card disappears. It's like giving a small child the finest chocolate to try and then telling him how he will eat empty rolls if he doesn't have the money to pay. Insidious, nothing!

The oldest and most classic mode of exhibition remained the least complicated part of the game, so with a good friend and opponent, you will have a way to shorten the time. Even if you have no friends, AI will provide solid resistance.
