Richie Incognito is retiring

The former four-time professional Pro Bowler has decided to stop active playing and go into a well-deserved retirement. With more than 10 NFL seasons behind him, Richie has an impressive career with excellent results, although there were several times when even the player himself was not sure what his future in this sport would be.

Richie Incognito was eligible for four Pro Bowl selections, including three in a row from 2015 to 2017. It's amazing that even at the age of 36, he was no less convincing, which is why Mike Mayock decided to bring him to the Raiders after not playing for nearly the entire 2018 season.

After missing contests during the 2019 campaign due to a suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy, Richie started in all 12 games in which he played for the Raiders. He played in just two games the following year, missing most of the season with an Achilles injury, then missed almost the entire 2021 season before opting out.

A large part of this fencer's career is associated with problems off and on the field. In other words, he was a central figure in the bullying scandal that emerged from the Miami Dolphins, which resulted in an eight-game suspension during the 2013 season. The suspension continued until 2014 when Richie sought help at a facility in Arizona to better control his emotions. In 2015, he continued his career with the Buffalo Bills where he began a streak of three consecutive seasons at the Pro Bowl level from 2015 to 2017.
