Kenya wants to host the World Championships

Jackson Tuwei, president of Athletics Kenya, confirmed that the state leadership had submitted a request to host the World Cup. Jackson Tuwei believes his country’s rich sports history increases the chances of becoming one of the first African hosts of such an event.

Kenya is one of the countries with a rich history in long and medium-distance athletics and boasts 34 Olympic and 60 world champions. They currently hold nine double records for men and eight for women.

The World Athletics Organization said it was not yet able to release any information on all the offers it had received and that it was too early to draw any conclusions. Since Africa has not yet had a chance to host such a big event, many from Kenya are hoping for a different story this time.

Kenya’s experience in organizing the Under-20 World Athletics Championships can certainly help organize the World Championships. Hamad Kalkaba Malboum, head of African athletics, has made it clear that he wants the country on the African continent to host a major sporting event.

The American city of Eugene will host the 2022 championship. While the 2023 championship will be held in Budapest. Tokyo is another city on the list of potential hosts for the 2025 World Athletics Championships.

Who is the eternal ruler of the 200 m discipline

If you ask anyone who is the best in the 200 m discipline, few will be wrong. Usain Bolt is the male world record holder who ran 19.19 seconds at the World Championships in Jamaica in 2009. Maybe there will be a new hope soon to break that record, but the chances are that the record will remain untouched for a long time.
