Allyson Felix is a legend that will hardly be surpassed by anyone

Allyson Felix will go down in history like many athletes before her, and how could she not when, thanks to her results, she set the bar so high that it will be difficult for anyone to reach her. After her well-deserved retirement, there will surely be a big void.

Allyson Felix started competing when she was only 17 years old. In 2003, she finished second in the 200 meters event. Twenty years later, she can be proud because she won a bunch of medals, and she will probably remember the race when she won bronze with the team in the 4x400 m.

This talented athlete deserves a place among the elite along with Usain Bolt. Her gazelle-like running style will be remembered by many. Allyson has won more Olympic medals than any other American athlete in history. Even seven of the 11 medals she won were gold.

Allyson was only 18 years old when she won silver in the 200 m in Athens, setting a junior record of 22.18 seconds. A year later, she became the youngest world champion in history by winning the 200 meters. Her achievements are all the more incredible as she competed against Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Carmelita Jeter, Christine Arron, and Merlene Ottey.

Her greatest asset was versatility, especially in the relays where she helped win 10 of them. She was and will remain one of the greatest ever.
