What Jurgen Klopp thinks of his squad

Jurgen Klopp has hailed his 'Ferraris in garage' after now very different Liverpool took the Premier League title race to the final day of the season, by coming behind to beat Southampton 2-1. The Reds boss was determined to make nine changes at the St Mary's after Saturday's grueling FA Cup final victory over Chelsea.

At the time, he was without many star names such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, and Sadio Mane. Nathan Redmond's great efforts threatened to hand the title to Manchester City but the visitors strongly fought back and moved within the points of the leaders, thanks to the goals from Joel Matip and Takumi Minamino. Klopp said that after making nine changes if it didn't work, it would be all his fault. He said that now it worked, it is 100 percent the responsibility of the boys because he knows he can ask for a lot and they did an exceptional job.

Klopp added that he is very happy with their performance and it was just touching, comparing them to 'Ferraris in the garage. „You let them out on the field and they are capable to do amazing things. I'm not certain about the last time Curtis Jones played, as he had no rhythm but he only played from time to time and just like Takumi Minamino, it's a crime he's not playing more often. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain didn't even play, despite being in outstanding shape. It's sometimes really tough for the boys and whatever happens this year, they are still exceptional and they will show that again.“
