6 home runs in one game - Who was that guy?

Do you remember what happened on the 9th of May 1999 when the FSU beat Maryland 26-2? After ripping a single during the first inning Marshall McDougall scored six home runs in the next six bats on the same day. Marshall McDougall is a former baseball player who has spent most of his time as a third baseman. He played one season with the Texas Rangers, and one season in the Chinese Professional League with the 7-Eleven Lions.

Marshall played baseball for Florida State University where he was coached by Mike Martin. In 1999 he was part of the first-team consensus All-American. That same year, he was named the Most Outstanding Player at the College World Series and was a finalist for the Dick Howser Trophy and the Golden Spikes Award. However, Marshall will remain best known for his performance on May 9 when he achieved one of the best results in the match against the Maryland Terrapins. In addition to 6 home runs, he shattered NCAA single-game records and achieved 16 RBI and a total of 25 bases.

After 1999, he played student baseball with the Harwich Mariners. Marshall was drafted by Oakland Athletics in the 9th round of the MLB Draft and played in the Athletic Organization until July 30, 2002, when he was traded to the Cleveland Indians instead of Ricardo Rincón. In 2009 he played for the Broncos de Reynosa, and a year later he signed with CPBL's Lions. Two years later he returned to the Broncos and also played for Algodoneros de Guasave.
