West Indies pay tribute to shock retirement of star all-rounder

West Indies legend and coach of the current woman's team Courtney Walsh paid tribute to Deandra Dotting after the shock retirement of the all-rounder from international cricket. Dotting was shared on social media just hours after playing in Barbados' nine-wicket loss to the gold medallists Australia at Commonwealth Game in Birmingham last week.

The 31-year-old cited that her concerns over the team culture has brought her to make this decision to retire. The all-rounder star indicated in her statement addressed to Cricket Wrest Indies that the current environment in the team was non-conductive to her ability to thrive and regain her passion. The news about retirement has hit everyone by surprise. The Caribbean side has waited more than a week to send her well wishes and Walsh paid tribute to the second-highest run-scorer for the West Indie in both women's ODIs and the T20I statement on Monday.
